Morristown, TN – Country music singer/songwriter Lee Brice will headline the entertainment at the East Tennessee Nissan 2012 4th of July Party in the Park at the Citizen Tribune – Jefferson Federal Amphitheatre in Cherokee Park.

The 4th of July activities will begin at 4 p.m. with rising country star Tyler Farr taking the stage at 6 p.m. followed by Brice at 8 p.m.  The night will conclude with a fireworks display at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Brice’s hit song “Crazy Girl” performed by the Ely Young Band has been nominated for Song of the Year from the Academy of Country Music.  He has also penned hit songs for country music greats Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw.

“We are excited about the entertainment we have planned for the 4th of July,” said event coordinator Jeffrey Dillard.  “It will be a family event where you can enjoy the park, the music, the food and other activities we are scheduling.”

Admission is $5 per person with children 12 and under free. Parking is included in the admission price.  Tickets will go on sale in April at East Tennessee Nissan, Food City stores, Hampton Inn and online at Cherokeepark4thofjuly.com and Lakewaytickets.com.

Brice, a three-time ACM nominee released his debut album Love Like Crazy on Curb Records in June 2010.  The title track, “Love Like Crazy,” climbed to the top five songs on the charts and was named Billboard’s #1 country song for that year.

His latest hit is “A Woman Like You” released earlier this year from his sophomore album due to hit stores in April.

“The 4th of July event at Cherokee Park has a rich tradition of providing quality family entertainment for our area,” Hamblen County Mayor Bill Brittain said.  “We tweaked the event some to ensure that the event remains one of the best in East Tennessee.  We think it will be a fun night.”

Brittain thanked major corporate sponsors East Tennessee Nissan, Food City, Porter Tire Stores, and Hampton Inn for their support.  Companies who want to help sponsor the event or vendors wishing rent booth space the day of the event are encouraged to call Jeffrey Dillard at (865) 804-6617.
